Prerequisites

Xcalibur W Agent is the client part of Xcalibur W Server. Xcalibur W Agent must be configured to connect to Xcalibur W Server. Xcalibur W Agent requires the following applications and components be installed first:

Windows Platform

• Host Operating Systems : Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows Iot, Windows Embedded 8 Standard & Industry / Windows Embedded 7 Standard & POS ready / Windows Thin PC
• .NET Framework 2.0 SP1 minimum Microsoft Framework .NET 2.0 SP1 © (full version)

Linux Platform

• Host Operating Systems : Ubuntu 12.04 / Ubuntu 14.04 / Ubuntu 16.04. Any Linux distribution based on .deb package format
• Up-to-date Mono environment

The installer size for Xcalibur W Agent is 5 MB. For proper installation, ensure there is at least 40 MB free space available on the client system. After installation, the total footprint is 20 MB.

When installing Xcalibur W Agent on an Embedded OS, ensure the device is not protected by a Write Filter. If so, disable the Write Filter before installing.
